First presented in 2004 and newly updated in commemoration of Peggy’s 2020 centennial, Fever: The Music of Peggy Lee offers a wealth of classic hits including the scorching title tune, the upbeat evergreen “It’s a Good Day,” the pop-jazz standard “I Don’t Know Enough About You,” the empowerment anthem “I’m a Woman,” a dynamite duet with Judy Garland of “I Love Being Here With You,” the Benny Goodman big band smash “Why Don’t You Do Right,” the brassy Broadway hit “Big Spender” and the Grammy-winning story song “Is That All There Is?”
Also featured are recollections and tributes from Peggy’s family, friends and colleagues including Andy Williams, Margaret Whiting, Quincy Jones, k.d. lang, Nancy Sinatra, Cy Coleman, Billy May, Johnny Mandel, Max Bennett, Grady Tate, Peggy’s daughter Nicki Foster and granddaughter Holly Foster Wells, along with previously unseen home movies, photos and behind the scenes footage. The updated 2020 edition features a new interview with singer and music historian Michael Feinstein.
Premiums for Public Television pledge drives will include:
