This song was sung by George Givot and chorus in Lady and the Tramp’s most famous scene, when the title characters share a romantic spaghetti dinner in an alley behind an Italian restaurant. Peggy recorded a solo version of “Bella Notte” on December 6, 1954 for a Decca Records album of songs from the film. It has also been recorded by Barbara Hendricks, Gordon MacRae, Lou Monte, Demis Roussos, Janet Seidel, Bryn Terfel and Steve Tyrell.
