Peggy worked with Quincy Jones throughout the early- and mid-1960s – he arranged and conducted two of her albums plus some singles, and they co-wrote several songs, including two for the 1966 comedy Walk Don’t Run starring Cary Grant and Samantha Eggar. The groovy “Happy Feet” was sung in the film by the Don Elliott Voices; Peggy recorded her own version for Capitol Records on May 21, 1966. That same day she recorded the other song she and Jones wrote for the film, “Stay with Me.” It was sung on the Walk Don’t Run soundtrack by Tony Clementi and also recorded by Vic Damone for RCA Victor. Peggy sang a duet version of “Stay with Me” with Andy Williams on his television show.
