Tom Thumb's Tune

Image 29 of 54

“Tom Thumb’s Tune,” with words and music by Peggy, was sung and danced by Russ Tamblyn with a chorus of stop-motion animated toys in MGM’s 1958 musical Tom Thumb. The song was recorded commercially at the time by Artie Malvin and the sister act Prudence and Patience. The film was produced and directed by George Pal, who had previously worked with Peggy when she sang for his 1946 Puppetoon short Jasper’s in a Jam. Peggy wrote several other songs for Tom Thumb, but she did not record any of them.
