Peggy is seen here in the early 1980s with her longtime friend Cy Coleman. In addition to their songwriting collaborations in the 1960s, Peggy recorded several of his songs with other lyricists: “The Best Is Yet to Come,” “Big Spender” (a 1966 chart hit), “A Doodlin’ Song,” “Hey, Look Me Over,” “I’m Gonna Laugh You Right Out of My Life,” “I’ve Got Your Number,” “My Personal Property,” “Pass Me By” (a 1965 chart hit), “When in Rome,” “Witchcraft” and “You Fascinate Me So.” In 1979 Capitol Records released a compilation album with most of these songs, Miss Peggy Lee Sings the Songs of Cy Coleman. The 2018 digital release of this album includes all of her recordings of Coleman’s songs.
