Quincy and Peggy are seen here in the mid-1960s, around the time of their songwriting collaborations for Walk Don’t Run. Their work together began with two albums he arranged and conducted for her, If You Go (1961) and Blues Cross Country (1962). For the latter album they co-wrote the songs “Los Angeles Blues,” “New York City Blues” (also recorded memorably by Sammy Davis Jr. with Count Basie and His Orchestra), and “The Train Blues.” Jones also arranged and conducted her 1961 Capitol single “Hey, Look Me Over.”
